Where do you find solace?
I don't know about any of you, but whenever I'm in a stressful situation, which is a lot of the time because I tend to stress out about things, I always like to immerse myself in something to get my mind off of it. Generally it's in a book, or music. What I'm asking you is, what does everyone else do when they need to escape from life, if you feel the need to at all?

I put on music that has a steady beat and clean my house while dancing. It's strange but works very well at getting any anger out while being productive. :)
ReplyDeleteI make my self cry, and go to sleep. I usually get stressed out before I go to bed. When other time is better to just think? Sit there and think. When I cry it is easy for me to fall asleep. When I'm asleep I can't think. So I pretty much Ignore the bad thought until bed time.

ReplyDeleteHaha, dancing and cleaning house. Interesting combination :P
I normally put on music that matches my mood at the time. Most often the music will make me either cry in grief or cry in the sheer beauty of the world.

ReplyDeleteI run. I can run hard and talk to people that I don't have any classes with and just forget about whatever is bothering me and then when I get back I'm removed enough from the situation that I can think about it and see the big picture rather than just the little bit that punctured my feelings.
ReplyDeletePaint. Or sketch or draw. Anything to do with art. (and listening to music). I feel as if this helps me to calm down, concentrate and let my thoughts flow. I'm not the kind of person that if I just blow off the problem and do something else will be alright. I must thinks things through and solve the problem. I find thinking easist when Im working on art.
ReplyDeleteListen to music and walk. Or play video games. Writing can work too, if the problem is more confusion than frustration. I yell, sometimes, but I don't enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not upset but just want an escape, books. Always and forever, books.
I usually read a book and talk to my best friend.
ReplyDeleteThere are times when this isn't effective though, then i usually hit things and scream.
Music at full blast somewhere outside. Its best when its raining or just rained.
ReplyDeleteI hide in my room, and listen to happy, up-beat music. I also sometimes watch my favorite movies, and vegg out. I tend to like to be alone when I'm in a stressful or mad mood.
ReplyDeleteI listen to music and try to relax.
ReplyDeleteOften music or books, but never both at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI also love poetry, both writing and reading it. I often find myself thinking in verse, so for me writing down poetry is often just writing down thoughts or feelings.
Music, tv, and video games.
ReplyDeleteI escape to my room or to the computer room where I just put on headphones and listen to music. :D
ReplyDeleteUsually I sit in my room and turn the music up really loud.
ReplyDeleteI break out my papasan chair. I did this just a few days ago actually. Break out the huge black papasan chair with my care bear blanket and turn on some music or just lay on it in silence.
ReplyDeletePop in some tunes and go chill on the bed. Works every time.
ReplyDeletego into the woods and walk for a while. it makes me rerealize how all things (including nature) can be violent and peaceful and caotic.
ReplyDeleteusually go outside and walk around or go down to my horse barn and sit im my horse stall and just stop thinking about everything for a moment.
ReplyDeleteUsually listen to music, or full out run. depends on my mood.
ReplyDeletei go to my room or go for a walk aroun d the block to clear my head
