Okay, so here is my question. It's kind of random, but what one isn't? :P
What is your full name? Do you go by something else? Why? Do you know why you were named what you are? If so, why? Where you named after someone? Who? Do you like your name? And if you could change it, what would you change it to? What's you Favorite nickname?
My answer to this is: My full name is Rachel Jean Edwards. I dont go by anything else. I'm not sure why I was named this other than my parents named me it. (yeah, no special story lol) I was named after my grandma though. That is were Jean comes from. I like my name I suppose, I'm not sure what I would change it to. I guess Rachel is just who I am. My nicknames are Rach, ratchel, rachey and roo. haha My fav would probably be..... Ratchel. Odd story behind that one, funy it stuck.
My full name is Luke Connor Henderson.
ReplyDeleteI've never gone by anything other than Luke, some people may call me Lucas, but that is NOT my name. I'm not sure were i got my name exactly i think its just something that my parents decided to name me. But i like my name wouldn't change it for anything.
My full name is Cassidy Briann (Bree-In) Jones. I have never gone by anything but "Cassidy". My dad got to pick my name and compared to "Agnes" and "Beatrice" (I kidd you not, my classmates) "Cassidy" was the only one my mother liked. She actually loved it. My middle name is also my Father's name (Brian) just with an extra 'N' and my mum prefered "Bree-In" as to "Bree-ann" because it rolled much better with the rest of my name.
ReplyDeleteNicknames? Hm.... well "Cass" obviously. My mum calls me "Cassy Bri" sometimes but that's about it as far as nicknames.... WAIT. Cassidyjones. Just my first and last names as one. It's popular. O_O
I like my name and do not please to change it. :)
Beccah René Kapelos.
ReplyDeleteNo crazy-fun story about how I got it - just that my mother had a fondness for it. Some old show she watched or some crap.
Beccah, commonly called Rebecca - NO! Just Beccah. I like René because it is spelled different than mose Renees or Renays. Kapelos is Greek coming from my long line of Greekness. I am one of the few Kapelos' left and unfortunately with so many of us being girls it tends to be short-lived. My biological grandfather on my mother's side passed before I was born so unfortunately I don't know too much about my family on his side. But yes, Greek I am.
Nicknames - hmm... well Bec, shortened. B, which my oldest sister Katie has bestowed upon me. Then there are the fun/emberassing ones. My God Mom called me Punky growing up and her mom still calls me Bestest. My mom used to call me Booger (haha yeah I know), oh, and here's the best one. You can laugh all you want but this one is definately my all time favorite. Caca (yes, like poop) from my beloved little sister Brooklyn, the baby of the family. She had trouble pronouncing it when she was first learning to talk. No excuse for why she still says it now at age six. I guess it just stuck in her mind.
Beccah Caca-René Kapelos.
Wouldn't change it for anything.
Ashley Marie Stanley, My oldest sister picked Ashley, and my name rhymes woo.
ReplyDeleteIt is the ugliest name I have ever heard.
I love unique names, and mine is very bland and original.
I only have silly nicknames, and I don't really like to go by ash, it sounds even uglier.
My favorite is Ashton Pikachuchar, or cash.
I would deffinately change it, my moms maiden name is Violette. I would use that last name.
A couple of names I really love are, Opal, October, and Georgia.
1) Alana Diane Gilston
ReplyDelete2) Nope :P
3) I don't know, everyone I meet likes my name for some reason :P
4) I wasn't named after anyone.
5) It's certainly unusual, so yeah, I like it.
6) Change it? Hmmm... toughie. I don't know, I've just always liked the name Melissa, but it would seem weird if that was really my name :P
7) Well, I've never really had a nickname, but I met a guy who was too lazy to type my full name, so he called me Lana :P Mr. Rash also called me Silver because the chemical symbol for Silver is Ag.
My full name is Theoden John Humphrey. John for my father, Theoden (pronounced THAY-oh-din, not THEE-oh-din) for the king of the Rohirrim in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
ReplyDeleteI got the name because one of my father's best friends was an English professor, and he recommended that my father read LOTR, which he did while my mother was pregnant with me. When he got to the scene in the last book when Sauron's minions are just on the verge of conquering Minas Tirith and destroying the last hope of Gondor, Theoden King and his Rohirrim arrive, just as the sun rises, and charge down into the orcs and save the day. My dad thought it was the most stirring and exciting scene he'd read in -- well, maybe ever -- and he liked the sound of the name.
I love my name, and plan to use it for my pen name.
I got the nickname Dusty when I was born: my mother liked Theoden, but she wanted me to have a shorter, easier nickname, and since I had red hair at birth, and my red-headed father's nickname is Rusty (and my older brother's nickname was Sandy), she thought Dusty was perfect.
I have been called every variation of Dusty you can think of:
Dust
Crusty
Musty
Busty
Lusty
Dirty
Dustbunny
Dustball
Dustrag
Dustmuffin
Dustbuster
Plymouth Duster
Dust in the Wind
The Duster
Dustfactor
Dustosterone (This was after I challenged my students, saying they couldn't come up with a nickname I hadn't already heard. This one was original.)
And, of course, Humpy, Humpty, Hump, Humpty-Hump, and Humps-for-free.
I'm sure there are more, but you get the point.
My full is Darien Lin Rilatos.I don't have any other names or nicknames. I was named after two famous women rachel darrian and amber lin. My parents named me darien cause it was unique and not common on a girl.I love my name and would never change it.
ReplyDeleteMy full name is Kayleen LeeAnn Pense. I have never gone by anything else besides Kay or Kayleen. Unless my friends or someone has given me some stupid nickname and they call me that. I wouldn't change my because my parents named me Kayleen and that's my name.
ReplyDeleteLuke Nathan Haresnape, dont know antmore than that and dont have a fave nickname.
ReplyDeleteRachel Michaela Munger. I go by Michaela. My parents liked both rachel and michaela and michaela rachel didn't sound very good so they decided to call me by my middle name. I do not like my name...at all. I do not think it fits me and when I find something that does fit me then I will change it! MaCooey is prolly my favorite because it's what my dad calls me. When i'm biking in fron of him and not wanting to go any farther he says wahooey macooey and it keeps me going. no you may not call me macooey though.
ReplyDeleteMonique Alexandra Smiley. I was named Monique, because my mom really liked the name, and she also liked Alexandra. I go my Mo also which is fine by me. I love my name, because it reminds with unique(lol) and I think it suits me.
ReplyDeleteAmanda Joy Dugdale. yes really. I do not wish to change my name, I don't think my name matters too much compared to my personality. My nickname is pretty boring, just drop the first "A".
ReplyDeleteKyle James (Although most school records have it as Jones) Roby. I go by Kyle. My middle name from my grandpa.I like my name, it's whatever. My nicknames are floby (given by Mr. Rash) and has transformed into hobo and hoby. And people also call me by my last name.
ReplyDeleteNathan James Swearingen. People call me Nate. I don't know why I was named Nate but my middle name is from my great grandpa James. I like my name because if you say it right my full name kinda has a ring to it hehe. I don't want to change it but I almost wish I was called James because it's less common than Nathan but oh well.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Stephen Blaze Robinson. My name came about because of an argument between my parents. My mom wanted me Stephen Blaise and, my dad wanted me Blaze Stephen. In the end the compromised.
ReplyDeleteMy first name came from the Bible, and its first martyr, Stephen. My second name with its current spelling was to represent God's burning love for us, depicted in the Catholic symbol known as the sacred heart.
As for nicknames I have two, nether of which are used by many people.
The first is Poindexter.I got that one just last year in math class where I annoyed one of my classmates by telling them that if one simply adds something to both sides of a ratio it changes the ratio. She still doesn't believe me.
The other is Coconut and if you read my first post you will see why.
At home I don't use these names. At home I am just Stephen.
Leni Ann Wells
ReplyDeleteI was named after my dad and my dad's dad.
Their names are Leonard.
I am always asked if Leni is my full name.
It is indeed my full name.
Once I tell people why I was named Leni, they tend to call me Leonard after my dad and grandpa. It used to bug me but now I just see it as one of my nicknames. ^^
My name is Emily Rachel Mehlhoff. I was named that simply because my parents liked the name. I however, don't. There are WAY too many Emily's and everytime I hear my name I automatically turn my head. I don't know what I would change it to. Something pretty that isn't very common.
ReplyDeleteRyan Christopher Byrd. its just a name. nicknames pretty crappy. just drop the firt 2 names and yea. real original
ReplyDeleteSarah Jane Hanna. I dont know why they named me Sarah. Jane because it is my grandmothers middle name. Hanna because my mom married my dad and his last name was Hanna.

ReplyDeleteGregory Conan Coppock. Im pretty sure my first name is because my uncle is named Greg and my middle name because my Dad is a bit of a geek and wanted to put that as it. I dont mind it though, I actually like it.
