i believe that in certain situations you should choose "better" technology over the old stuff. in certain situations the newer tech will get the job done better and more efficint with probable less pollution like some cars. if you have two types of cars and one gets 15 mpg and the other gets 25mpg but they both preform the same, you are going to get the 25mpg car over the 15mpg one. (don't recommend the Prius though, you never know what will happen there). But in other situations you may want the older tech because it could be waaaay more reliable then the newer stuff, Like some tractors that my grandpa used to tell me about. he once had a tractor that worked perfectly, and he went to war, and when he came back, his brother had sold it and bought a new one, which didnt work good at all and always broke down. It depends on the situation wether or not to go with the newer tech or older stuff.
