When it comes to social use, I prefer to use the best technology I have available to me. I'm really looking forward to January because that's when I'll be able to purchase an iPhone with Verizon. I like to have all my stuff in that same object though I admit that I'll miss my little hockey puck phone.
When it comes to things like television though, I don't really care. I put a television in my room about three years ago because I started to watch VHS' and DVDs more often and that TV was over twenty years old. It had rabbit ears. This christmas I got a new little flat screen and while I am grateful, I was sad to see my old TV go because... it had character.
When it comes to desktop computers, I'm fine just as long as it works. We kept our ancient computer for a long time until I reached the eighth grade and started to use it more often for school projects and the thing finally crashed so that summer we bought a new Dell and it continues to be a lovely family computer.
Last summer, I bought myself an Inspiron Dell. (Which I regret. I should have saved the rest of my money and bought a Mac.) Anywho, it's nice to have a personal computer for my writing, photos and programs. I use technology a lot but I have my moments where I'm just like "I don't care."
I always prefer to end my evenings reading as opposed to sitting on Facebook.
