Health care, quite honestly, is a many headed beast that is such a vast topic, i cant even get my head around it. When i hear about it, i hear it from the news, the Presidential speeches, and my own parents arguing amongst themselves. But really, what is it. Why are we having reforms? Why are people so unhappy? Are they so ignorant, that they see other important people arguing that its broken, and believe that it is. Or are they justified. Do they really understand what they are talking about? Has anyone on this blog done any research o the subject? Did they do what i did, and sit down and have a lengthy conversation with their parents for their views on health care, and then immediately post it. Or did they go online, read one or two reports, or reforms, and immediately post them without really thinking about it.

In reality, this world should be run in a very Libertarian way. The government SHOULD not have anything to do with its people. Nothing. No Taxes. The government will have no regulations on business, schools, and banks. Only the military, for the governments job is to protect its people and nothing else.
Things that matter should be provided by its own personal source of funding. Schools should not be able to get funding from the government, because if truly matters, it will get a new source of income. The community will have its own way of education. Whether it be Coed home-schooling, or private schools( which are very affordable, since there are no taxes). Things like band, Choir, sports, or any extra-anything will not exist unless privately funded. If they are deemed unnecessary, and cannot be funded, they WILL NOT EXIST. That's how it should be.

Businesses will exist on how well they adapt to competition ,(competition is very good for the people BTW, because when business compete, the people win 8) ) and the ones that cant, don't survive. So things like health care will be a simple thing. Health insurance companies will want to sell people insurance, and they will compete for customers. Prices will be reasonable, and most people will be able to afford and use it. Those who cant, either will find something else that works, or not have it, and not be treated. In reality, it;s sad, but i believe that it wont be like that. Libertarianism says that the world is a place were the people of the country are protected from foreign and disturbances within the country, by their government and military. WE will adapt, since that's what the human race is best at.

  2. Libertarianism, like anarchy, depends on people having honor. People don't have honor. Therefore libertarianism simply does not work. When we leave the proper care and handling of our population to private enterprise, you know what we get? The Great Depression. Now maybe our current system is broken, needs to be replaced, what have you -- but in the 1930's, people were starving to death by the thousands, while Rockefeller and Carnegie and the other robber barons counted their billions. I do not conisder that to be an example of the people winning because companies were given free reign to compete. I think that is an example of what happens when dishonorable people are given free reign: people suffer and die, for the pleasure of a few.

Sorry. Can't see libertarianism as the solution.
