Sports schmorts!

I love soccer and I would have loved to play it at a high school level, but I loath most of the players I had to practice with the summer before high school. Sure they are nice guys separately,but.. they didn't make you feel like part of the team if you weren't as good as they were. So I chose Marching band in stead. Yes, marching band is a sport. A sport is something that causes you to make your body better in effort to excel in a sport. A sport also must take many hours of practice on and off the feild to excel, much endurance, and high discipline. If sports were better disciplined, we might actually win. Not discipline as most people might think, but but the the ability to act like a machine. I'm probably being very vague, but idk how to explain it. You have to know what the other players are going to do.
personally, I think baseball is over rated. Yes it's a sport, but it's boring as hell to watch... Sure there might be tension, but it's nothing to get your adrenaline running.
Sports are a good thing. At least for your body. When there weren't electronics, sports were an excuse to get people together.
The Olympics is very interesting, because it is the best people in the world competing. Thing's are done right (for the most part, but there will be mess-ups no matter who was in charge. We are human after all).

Though sports have good intentions, human corruption can never be stamped out. Thus ruining all things on this earth including sports.

  1. Pah. Then Marching band is over rated. Say what you want, but marching band is the over rated sport. Honestly, i really do not want to get into the evils of band, and the way our school band represents itself. I enjoy plenty of people who are currently engaged in The band, so i do not want to insult there trade.
But dont diss on Baseball. Or ill be in a dark corner, waiting.....

  2. i honesty think marching band is more of a sport then anything. even thou i hate it i always see them in the summer running and doing pushups and situps and all these other things and then I look at the football players, they do a play and then go stand back in line. Not trying to diss on any sport, but if any sport is overrated its volley ball. From what I see is that you learn how to hit a ball over the net and pass it and spike and set and stuff like that. And also from practicing with them in the summer with the soccer girls they did practiced pretty easy.
